Not good, as a Deviant. However, for every other aspect of my life? 2012 is looking better than a waxed bikini girl!
DeviantART did not see much activity from me during the latter part of 2011. I had a couple of projects I was working on, which I have ultimately "put on hold" as I have taken on new challenges that to me are more important than my art hobby. Actually, a few months ago I created a new deviantART account with the intention of populating it with a new series of paleontological restorations. At the moment the account rests in a dormant state.
The change in the wind? My career. I'm getting it started, and hopefully by the end of 2012 I'll be well along my path to success. I am going to be a filmmaker, constructing my foundation in the film industry with an independent feature film I hope to begin shooting in 2013. Obviously this dedication leaves no time for other aspects of my life which are indefinitely hobbies. So no more paleoart, simply stated. It does pain me to say that, I feel as though my paleoart was the only legitimate way I was connected to paleontology. Which I love passionately. But I will make a comeback one day. As a filmmaker my love will undoubtedly be reflected in the films I develop. My love for science, my love for nature, and of course my love for paleontology.
My prayers and wishes are that everyone will have an excellent 2012!! Don't let the Mayans get you down.
